Golf can be a frustrating game. Trying to find the right combination that allows you to be longer off the tee, can be difficult, sometimes embarrassing, and often times frustrating. Having serious impact on your golf score, and the level of enjoyment you get from a game you are passionate about. The answers do not lie at the bottom of just another bucket of golf balls. The answers lay in the basics, identifying the problems that hinder your golf swing and correcting them once and for all.
Founder of the Seaver Golf Academy, Eric Jones reveals what he calls the "Secret Sauce" that will allow you to add a distance of 20 to 50 yards to your drive. The answer is not swinging harder, it's swinging faster. Through increasing your club head speed, you can not only hit the golf ball a greater distance off the tee, but with your irons as well. This will increase your level of enjoyment and lower your handicap, by taking much-needed strokes off your golf score.
For those unfamiliar, with the career of Eric Jones won the 2003 Re/Max World Long Drive Senior Championship with a crushing 381 yard drive. In 2004, he was the LDA Tour Rookie of the Year and has competed in the World Long Drive Championship finals 7 consecutive years. Eric Jones is a PGA Class A Professional, with a Master's degree in Sport Psychology, and is nationally recognized for his innovative golf instruction.
He didn't start a world champion. In fact, he went through many years of struggle before he found the right answers. The lessons he learned the hard way. There was no one there to teach him, he had to learn them for himself.
The secret was not swinging harder, it was swinging faster! Generating more club head speed allowed him to hit the golf ball further. It's not about clinching down and swinging for all your worth. In fact, that would detract from your efforts of attaining the desired result. Tension is counterproductive, a hindrance to speed. This counter intuitive approach allowed him to increase his club head speed 20 mph in 6 weeks. Shortly after, he became World Long Drive Champ, with a drive that went 375 yards in the air!
According to Eric Jones, "It's not about the perfect swing." By focusing on 5 core attributes, mental focus, athletic balance, using leverage, developing muscle memory, and accelerating your club to the target, any golfer will be able to consistently add distance to their swing. As a result, they will be consistently closer to the pin and require fewer strokes per round, lowering their golf score.
Releasing tension, through some simple exercises, will allow you to 'crack the whip' and generate more club head speed with effortless power. Then you can optimize the power of your golf swing. Through the principles of physics and biomechanics, more so, than just using brute force, you will be able to hit the golf ball with more distance. This may also help those who golf with lower back pain.
Eric has drawn on his lifetime of experience, both as a world champion and a PGA professional, and has imparted all that he has learned in his many years. Everything he uses himself, the same drills and techniques he used to win the World Long Drive Championship, and the lessons he teaches to his students into an instructional golf course. Well, worth the $47.00 cost!
Good luck, I'm sure you will hit the golf ball a mile!
