The Project
Restoring a Community Asset
The Crossings Golf Club is undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment designed to transform the property into one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier public golf destinations.
Originally designed by renowned golf course architect Joe Lee, the championship course is being thoughtfully reimagined by Kris Spence and his team at Spence Golf, Inc. The redevelopment will honor the character and strategic intent of Lee’s original design while rebuilding the course with modern infrastructure, enhanced playing conditions, strategic improvements and additional length to meet today’s championship standards.
Upon completion, the course will be extended to 7,400 yards through the strategic relocation of select greens and the addition of new tee complexes. It will be capable of hosting professional, collegiate and national amateur tournaments. Significant improvements throughout the property will create an exceptional experience for both local golfers and visiting players while ensuring the course remains enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.
The redevelopment is the result of a partnership between McConnell Golf, the Henrico Economic Development Authority and the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority, reflecting a shared vision of expanding recreational opportunities while supporting economic growth and sports tourism throughout the region.
